My First Brownies....

Friends know that I hardly step into the kitchen... My culinary / cooking skill? Erm.. Really really bad... Let's see what I have cooked before... Maggi (the expert i think), fried egg, fried chicken ball, ham, hotdogs, fries... Err.. all also those instance food that I don't need to add other things le... Let's see if I have cooked anything more complicated... Hhmmm... I think I fried rice once before and it's edible i think... The white mice still alive right now... Hahaha... it's my brother... And, cook vegetable lorr.. Just add whatever ingredients i can see before my eyes...

So, out of the blue, i was involved in a project called Brownies... kekeke... Yupp.. I make brownies... I also don't believe it... Is it complicated? Thanks to Foong Ling, we found one easy way... What I have done to create this le? I 'kacau' the ingredient in one way... And, FL said i didn't eat rice that day... So soft... Hahaha... In fact, I really haven't eat that day lerr... That's it... I did that only... The part that we have to determine whether it's ready or not all left to Keef and FL... Hohoho... I was happily online chatting and play neopets... :P

The result of my first attempt with the collaboration of sifu Keef and FL... ta daa... Thripple Chunk Chocolates Brownies... I love it... Do you?

一公升的眼淚

An hour ago, I finally finished this Japanese Drama which was introduced to me a while ago... And once a while, it feels good to let the tears flow freely... It has been a while...

This is how I feel when I finished this drama, a true story...

People tend to neglect the things that they are able to do... Even the smallest thing such as walking, talking, playing...

People tend to procrastinate because there are still another tomorrow...

When something bad happen to us, we tend to feel we are the most unlucky and sad person in the world.

Well, I really appreciate what I have now... I'm lucky although there are some situations that are difficult and it feels like the situtation is hopeless and seems like there is no end to it... There will be always 2 side of the story.... As u all always hear people say, it will depend on how u look at the situation... Whether the glass in half empty or half full...

I'm thankful to have a house to live in and have good food to eat...
I'm thankful to be able to live with my parents and brother...
I'm thankful to have a job with good pay and good future...
I'm thankful to have a group of friends whom I really care about...

I really really appreciate what I have now.... If you all discover that I forget about this, please knock my head....

侧田 - 好人

Hahaha... please bear with me... Singing bug bite me this morning when i wake up...

I just love the melody of this song but never bother to look at the lyrics and the meaning behind the song... We always say or hear that 好人有好报... So, i guess this song would be that kind of meaning... Until a friend of mine asked me to look at the lyrics properly... Well, it was the opposite... Kekeke... anyway, I still choose to be a 好人 (whenever I can) so that I could have a good night sleep :p

Lately, I just love to hear this songs... Title of song means love is simple... But, is it true? Hhmmm.... Point to ponder...

I LOVE YOU 无法不爱你 BABY 说你也爱我
I LOVE YOU 永远不愿意 BABY 失去你

I LOVE YOU [YES I DO ]
永远都不放弃 这爱的权利

如果你还有一些困惑 OH NO
请接着我的心倾听
听我说着爱你 [YES I DO ] 我爱你

I LOVE YOU 一直在这里 一直在爱你
I LOVE YOU [YES I DO ]
永远都不放弃 这爱的权利

Cameron 2006

Location: Cameron Highlands
Date: 14 October 2006 - 15 October 2006

Yes... I went to Cameron Highlands again... I know it's a bit late to blog about it... Just want to capture some of my memories... And, did I enjoy it? Definitely... Thinking back brings smile to my face... Looking back at the pictures make me laugh... With the independent and democratic party going on... Those in the picture will know what i'm talking about... :P

The trip officially began at BP station near Bandar Tun Razak when we got all our necessaries.. Tidbits, water, etc... It would not be a complete trip if we didn't eat all the way... So, our first stop of the day was at Bidor, a place which is famous for its 'duck leg mee' (direct translation, hahaha!!!!).. Of course, we didn't leave the place empty handed. 'Tiger' Heong Piah, Ciku, Coffee...

Accompanied by Redi Su FM all the way up the hill, i was enjoying the scenery of greens and blues... The tension on the shoulder slowly easing up... A sense of relief... This time, there are more selection of songs compared to last time... But, I hav to admit... I end up like the album after listening to it over and over again...

We actually planned our trip nicely this time... From the bottom to up and down again all the way to Ipoh... Waterfall was our first stop... This year we became playful... I was wet... and the water was COLD!!!! The culprit...

A trip to Cameron without the visit tea plantation will not be a trip at all... Our first tea plantation of the day is the BOH tea plantation. We visited the factory and the person who explained the process to us was the one who did it in previous years too!!! Hahaha... I wonder she recognised us... Then, it was time for us to eat again... Lunch time...

The places that we went after that was basically Bharat Tea Plantation, Lake House (too bad, Keanu Reeves not there), Cactus Valley, pasar malam, Equatorial Hotel... Dinner this time was actually satisfying. We could eat all the vegetables we want. With the cold air / breeze blowing toward us, the tomyam and herbal soup is a welcome... Luckily, i still remember the place...

To continue to make the trip more fun, we kept ourselves happy with more food... A set of steamboat dinner did not stop us from entering Secret Recipe, where our 'dessert' were waiting for us... DO not think cakes were sufficient... To appease our satisfaction packs of hotdogs and marshmallows were specially brought from KL... Corns, carrots, potatoes, strawberries... Thinking of it now makes me hungry too...

The night was spent with tarot cards reading and Superman movie... Did I sleep during this trip? Amazingly, I do although it was only for a few hours til a group of uncles and aunty ... I think i'm improving... So, the next objective at the next trip is to maybe sleep more hours? and at the end, sleep through all the nite....

Sg Palas plantation, our favourite place to enjoy our English Breakfast... It was such a beautiful place. A must go / must visit location in Cameron I think...

Thank you for the good times... Thank you for bringing me there again... Thank you for releasing my stress... Thank you all... I really look forward to go to many places with you all again in the future...

P/S: This would be my favourite picture of the trip... Hahahaha... Enjoy!!!

Just now, while reviewing my profile, suddenly it hit me that I had live for 25++ years this life... Time sure flies but do I feel like I'm a 25? As we grow up, responsibilities become heavier... Thinking back of the things that I have done... Have I give my 100% to live my life to the fullest? Did I work and play hard enough so that I will not regret later?

Well, to the family, I believe I have not done enough... I wish I could give them more stability in life.. So that they will can live happily without worries... It's just that looking at my parents who are getting older year by year, they suppose to lead a relaxing life already... But... haih... Hopefully I will have the ability in this few years time...

So Long

Hello.... Finally, I'm back. This page has been left idle for so many months. Sitting in the office, suddenly I feel like writing a few words. So long already since the last entry that I put in. It's in June!!!! And now it's middle of August 2006. Can't believe the time can fly so fast. This 2 months were so hectic. And, also in my life, I've never been so hardworking. Home had become a 'hotel' for me... The only thing that I do there is to sleep for a few hours. Wake up and left again... Thinking back, is it worth it? Maybe... Maybe not...

However, time spent after the office hour with some colleagues and managers is a new findings to me... After office hours, all of us seems to become another person, a more real and relax person. At least for me, I think. Kekeke... It's better to work after office hour definitely...

'Peak' period also developed another side of me. I think the 'evil twin'... Before this, I can always said I have very good patience. But, I feel that it's not a good trait at all when people start to take advantage of it... And, I become a 'sarcastic', especially to those nasty nasty people...

Finger Licking Good Alimento / Nourriture

Menara Telekom

I've always like the view of this building at nite time....

Story of the day

The student asks a teacher: What is love? The teacher said: in order to answer your question, go to the paddy field and choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turnback to pick. The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big paddy, but he wonders....may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one... but may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him.Later, when he finished more than half of the paddy field, he start to realize that the paddy is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand. The teacher told him, this is love... you keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person.

The student asked: What is marriage then? The teacher said: In order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick. The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he fee satisfied, and came back to the teacher. The teacher told him, this time you bring back a corn.... you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get .... this is marriage.

Sky

I've always like to watch the sky when I was in a long journey. Trapped in the car for a few hours with nothing to do really gives me the opportunity to sit back and look around. Why do I enjoy to look at the sky so much le? Hhmmm.... I always see a shape of the cloud (e.g. car, boat, some people doing things, etc...) But, if you see the same cloud at a different angle, you would see other things.... Sometimes, it just a plain cloud.... Maybe at this point of time my imaginary juice does not work... Hehehe....

Our Parents

I got this forwarded e-mail from a senior from work which I think worth to share with you all.

Daughter-In-Law: When I cooked food which is bland, you will grumble that they are tasteless. Now that I have cooked saltier, you complained that you can't swallow this at all! What exactly do you want?

When the son came back, the mother immediately ate the food without a word. She stared at him. The son tasted his mother's food and spitted out immediately. He ranted at his wife," Didn't I told you that my mother cannot take too salty food?!"

The wife shouted, "OK! She's your mum! You cook for her in future!"

After saying that, she stormed into their room angrily. Feeling helpless, the son told the mother, "Mum, don't eat this anymore. I will cook you a bowl of noodles." The mother said, "Son, you have something to tell me? Don't keep everything to yourself."

Son: "Mum, I am going to get promoted soon and my upcoming working schedule will be very, very tight...and as for my wife...ummm...she said she will be going out to work."

The mother understood what he meant and said in a begging manner, "Son, please don't send me to the Old Folks' Home.."

The son remained silent and tried to think of a good reason to persuade his mother. Then he said, "There is nothing wrong with the Old Folks' Home. Once my wife goes out to work, no one will serve you as well as the Home which provides you meals and care. It would definitely be bettter than being at home." The son went for a bath after that and went into the Study Room. He looked out the windows and thought back and hesitated a while....His mother has remained a widow since she was young, and brought him up painstakingly, single handed.

She tried all means to earn as much as she could, in order to support him in studying overseas. Yet she expected nothing nor used her past painful experience to threaten his son to be filial. While now, his wife is threatening him with the stake of their marriage. "Should I send my Mum to the Home?" He asked himself. "The only person who will accompany you till the end of your life would be your wife.." said a friend before. "Your mother is old now, and if she's lucky, she might be able to live for a few more years longer. Why not be filial to her for this period of time?" reminded some relatives. He was in a dilemma. He did not want to think anymore, in order not to affect his decision.

The son found a Home with high standards, built on a beautiful and transquil mountain top. He told himself that he would feel better the more he spent. When the son helped his mother into the lobby of the Home, the 42" TV was turned on. The program shown on screen was a comedy. But no one was laughing .A few old folks, dressed in similar clothing, were sitting there, in a daze. There was one who was sitting improperly on a sofa, there was one who was bending down to pick up a piece of biscuit from the floor, there was one who was talking to himself...The son knew that his mother likes sunlight, so he chose a room with ample sun rays shining into the room. He outside view from the room, was a big piece of greenery scene. Several nurses were wheeling some old folks out for some fresh air. It was so pathetic with silence in the background. Soon it was dusk.

The son told the mother, "Mum, I am leaving." The mother waved to him to say goodbye, opening her toothless mouth.. He turned back to look at his mother. She was full of grey hair and wrinkled skin with deep set eyes...He found that she was really old. He remembered when he was six, due to some circumstances, his mother cannot bring him along with her thus temporarily placed him at a relative's home for a few days.

He recalled hugging his mother's thigh and begged her not to leave him alone. In the end, his mother never left him alone and decided to stay with him. He stopped thinking and left. When he returned home, his wife and his mother-in-law were busy discarding things from his mother's
room, happily. One of the discarded item was his tall trophy which he won as First Prize when he was young. He wrote an essay on "MY MOTHER".

The second item discarded was a dictionary. That was the first gift from his mother, who scrimped and saved for a month in order to buy for him. He shouted, "Enough! Stop discarding anymore!". His mother-in-law cried,"There are so much rubbish. If we don't discard, there would not be any place for my stuff." His wife continued, "Yeah! Need to dump that old,
stinking bed of your mum too. We will buy a new bed for my mum later,"

He saw some pictures from the stack.. they were taken at a zoo and amusement park when his mother brought him there. "These are precious belongings of my Mum! You can't discard them!" "What sort of attitude is this? I demand you to apologise to my Mum. NOW!" ranted the wife.

The husband said," When I got married with you, that showed that I will love your Mum too. But why can't you do the same too?"

He went back to the Home and saw his mother weeping in between her frail legs. She was missing the moments when her son would apply ointment for her every night. The son kneeled before her and said, "Mum, here I come. I brought the ointment too." The mother said, "I will apply it myself, Son! You still need to work tomorrow. Go home, Son!"

Son said, "Mum, please forgive me! Let's go home!"

Hope this is inspirational and touching to you. Without our parents, we won't be here. No parents will resort to harm their own children. They only want the benefit for them.

The Island

Finally, it was 10 April 2006... The much awaited date... I still remember when we planned this trip... It was so sudden... Maybe we were too stressed at that time... Haha...

10 April 2006: Monday
The first day of my vacation... I was supposed to wait for Kellyn at Midvalley but oops... late... Something that I need to learn... To be on time so that people do not have to wait for me... But then, I was excited... This would be the first time I board an airplane... I got to fly... I was a little bit dissappointed when I got to know that we will be going to LCCT, not KLIA... I wan to watch the airplanes fly.... How do I feel? Hhmm... The take off was smooth... So, it was like sitting on the bus... When I was in the air, the view was great... The buildings on the land are like miniature... The cloud is like cotton candy... When the plane land down, it was a bit bumpy but I really enjoyed my first ride on the plane...

When we reach Langkawi airport, it was raining but lady luck was on our side... It stopped when we managed to get our white Proton Wira on the road. Kellyn became the navigator and Cindy Chew became the driver. The hotel was easy to find. Langkawi Lagoon was the place that we stayed in. Pulau Dangli sea villa. Wow!!! Tat was my first thought... This place is really beautiful... To stay by the sea... This will be my happy and relaxing holiday!!! The first place that Cindy Chew was so eager to introduce to us was the ..... washroom!!!! Yep... I must say the washroom was rely nice... First day in Langkawi was spent at Kuah town to shop... Chocolates !! Chocolates!! So many chocolates for me to choose but.... I can only choose the best... The one I like best... And, also my senior savignon blanc... Such a hard wine to find...

11 April 2006: Tuesday

As usual, if I'm not too tired, I would not be able to sleep no matter how comfortable the place is... So, to wake up early is usually wat I do... I choose to sleep by the window of the villa and the first thing that I saw when I open my eyes is the sea... 'Cheng' ahh... I made myself a cup of coffee and sit at the balcony... If I can spend my every morning like that would be wonderful... The view outside my balcony...

While waiting for others to wake up and have breakfast together, I went down to the beach... The place that I stayed was actually a lagoon, so the beach was not really a beach but... still I enjoyed the view and also the sound of the sea... So relaxing and calm... Any idea what kind of job that would allow me to have this kind of treat everyday? Kekekeke... This is how I look when I wake up... Without brushing my hair... Taking my own picture and alone at the beach...

When Cindy Mu, my senior reached Langkawi, we went to the cable car... Hahaha... Must go places for me... To see small small boxes hanging in the middle of the air was quite scary but I was mesmerized by the view around me... Burau Bay was rely beautiful... Clear blue water... 'Hou Leng' ahh... That was my word all the way up the hill... At the same time, my friends were so scared that they dun ever dare to look at those scenic view... Sai zhor ahh... However, there are too many fog that day... So, some of the good view was blocked... Anyway, I also got to walk on the hanging bridge... Impressive... I can actually feel the bridge swing when I stopped to take picture...

The next place that we wanted to go was Summer Palace... It was the shooting place for Chow Yun Fatt's 'Anna and the King' movie... Too bad the place was torn down... After we had our lunch at Fish Farm restaurant, we went to shopping again... I was so tempted to buy the chocolates again... Such a torture to stay there looking at the chocolates but couldn't buy them... Nite time.... Nothing much to do at nite time... They bought a few bottles of alcohol to drink together... I remember there are a few flavors of Kampai and Corona... I bought shandy so that I got something to drink when they start to drink... Kekeke... We played UNO and 'Chor Dai Di' all nite... It was actually fun...

12 April 2006: Wednesday

Today was the day for us to go out the sea... We signed up for a mangrove tour... The first place that the guy bring us was at the middle of the sea to feed the fish with bread... There were rely a lot of fish but I was actually attracted to the island nearby... The rock was nice... and how the sea water go through the passage / hole was interesting...

Then, we went to Crocodile cave... The guy explained that we came at the time when Langkawi was wet... No wonder there were rain everyday... Luckily it was at nite time when we lazed at the hotel... Although the water was high, we managed to get into the cave with the skill of the guy manouvered the boat... However, there are nothing to see in the cave... Why it was called Crocodile Cave le? According to our guide, there are a lot of crocodiles last time before it was captured and put into the Crocodile Farm in Langkawi...

Our next stop was to watch eagles... Eagle actually represents Langkawi... The famous Lang at the Dataran Lang was the symbol of Langkawi... When our guide threw the meat into the mangrove river and splash water with the engine, there was so many eagles come and feed the meat... I think there are about 10 - 20 eagles, maybe more.... Wow.... Never in my life I see so many eagles flying around... It was the highlight of the tour actually... The best I would say...

Then, we went to a fish farm and was introduced to a few types of fish which I dun remember the name now... THe interesting one was the horse shoe crab which I tried to hold on my hand... Gelinye... and also the Ikan Pari-Pari... Really BIG... Too bad I didn't take the picture... Camera run out of battery already.... Sob sob sob... And the last stop was Bat Cave before we head to Barn Thai to have our lunch... THere are a lot a lot of bat in that cave and .... the smell... the smell... uurrghhh..... yuckie.... uwek.... Not a pleasant smell at all....

After the tiring tour, we decided to go Pantai Cenang to get some massage... Since I din got to try out the foot reflextology in Penang, I decided to give it a try... My first reaction when the guy massage my leg was I laughed... He looked at me with a strange face... Are you okie ahh? Hehehe... Maybe he thinked I'm weird or crazy kua.... Kekeke...

Since this would be the last evening I spent in Langkawi, I requested that we stay at the Pantai Cenang to look at the sun set... Just love the view.... Love it!!! Love it!!! This picture was taken with my camera phone... Nice or not? Kekeke...

13 April 2006: Thursday

This is the last day and would be my departure day too... Dun feel like going back at all... I wake up early again to go to the beach... This time I was earlier and the water still not high up to the beach yet... I can see many holes inside... I tried to dig the hole and found some small crab... Hehehe... Listening to the beach and birds was great... Like the other day, I got the whole 'beach' by myself... This time I sit the rocks and watch the tide... The tide was quite fast I think... I sat on the rock which is still quite far from the water but a few minutes later, the place was filled with it... Amazed... When I failed to do something, if I can recover like the tide would be good... Tat was I'm thinking at that time... Usually, I would have a friend accompany me to enjoy the morning but tis time all by myself... Something different and I got to think of something too...

My last day at Langkawi Lagoon was greeted with a rainbow too.... I can see the clearly the 7 colours of the rainbow.... I still remember when I saw one too on my way back from Penang at Addy's car.... What a coincidence....

I really enjoy the trip... Although we din go to many places, I treasure the ease that this trip give me... Dunno why... I feel happy when I see the sea and beach... Dun know how to swim but just looking at it makes me feel relax and satisfied... Can't wait for the next trip already...

真情流露

As you all know, Jacky Cheung is my all time favourite singer. Don't know what happen to me today... This song keep on repeating in my head... So, I keep on listen to the song again and again.. Hehehe... Siao already.... Oh no!!!

la la la la la ...... (And I really love tis part....)

Tired and down...

I don't know what happen to me... The fire and energy in me has disappeared Every morning wake up to feel no energy and purpose... Sometimes I dreaded to go to work. I feel happy actually when I was infected with sore throats... The thought of not going to office really brightened up my day...

Staying in the office had become my whole day... Every morning from 7.30 til 9 at nite... Life sometimes feel so meaningless... What's the point of working so hard when i'm not enjoying myself... House has somehow become like a hotel to me... Cos I just went back to sleep and wake up to get to work again...

Is this how adult life should be? With loads of loads of work and responsibility? How I wish I had a big brother to shoulder all the responsibility.... And I will always be the little sister...

L.O.V.E

Here I am middle of the nite, doing nothing..... Suddenly, I got this urge to write something...

LOVE.... What is love actually?? According to my Oxford dictionary, it means: -
  1. warm liking or affection;
  2. sexual affection or passion; or
  3. strong liking for something.

From the explanation, it seems so simple... But, is it that simple? Hhmmm... Don't think so... If not, there won't be so many people writing into the newspaper or magazines to seek for guidance... To me, i'm actually quite fascinated with this 4 little alphabets... The power it has to lead some people to do things...

Love of parents... I think i recognised this love... I do think my parents love me very much... Just that they don't show it openly, just like my feelings to them i think... When I was little, i'm actually quite impress with those TV families... For example, Full House... But, it was just a TV show... Looking back, i know i'm blessed. Dad never scolded me and as u all know, he has literally become my 'driver' my whole life and yet, he never complain. Mom, who provides me good food and a cosy home. No wonder I never leave the house... Kekekeke... Love of parent will make them sacrifice... How mothers endure the pain to give birth to babies... 9 months with the extra burden on their bodies...

Love between a boy and girl... Honestly, I don't really know about this... I asked a good friend this question: How do you know that you are in love? Love a person and like a person should be different... And, I always asked friends that have started 'pak toh' how do you feel when you are in love? The same question... The answer I get is you will feel happy when you see him/her... The heart beats faster... You will get jealous if you see him/her with another person... You will always want to see her... Is everyone the same when they are in the same situation? But, when a love is fade or broken, it really gives a great impact to a person... It's so complicated... And, it really take time to heal from the wound... Seeing friends with broken hearts really makes me scared...

So, my latest question to you all is you rather have a simple love or a love that is so great with ups and downs... For me, i dun really know... It would be a point to ponder...

Happy Valentine's Day

The radio had been putting love songs all day long. Most of the people are definitely in a lovely mood... Love is flying around in the air.... Hhmmm, i wonder how does this day comes by? Here is what I find in the net... Don't know whether it's true but it's an interesting story...

Legend 1

The first legend, and perhaps the best known, began in Rome, when the Emperor, Claudius II, was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. “Claudius the Cruel” as he was called, was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that Roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. So, he cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome!

The good Saint Valentine, who was a priest in Rome, in the year 269 A.D., together with his friend Saint Marius, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, he was sentenced to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. But while in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl, who may have been his jailor's daughter, who visited him during his confinement. Before his death on the 14th day of February, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed " From your Valentine".

In 496 A.D., Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honor St. Valentine.

Legend 2

Another legend says that Valentine's Day started ...in ancient Rome, on February 14th, a holiday to honor Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. Then, the following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia. In those days, the lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, on the eve of the festival of Lupercalia, the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.

HAPPY 旺旺 YEAR !!

Tick tock tick tock... The rooster year walk slowly and enter the Dog... Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!! I wish u all: -

恭喜发财 身体健康 万事如意
新年快乐 心想事成 步步高升

This year I got back some Chinese New Year feel. I think the reason is that I went back to my parent's kampung house.. Hehehe... But, new year back when i was still a children was really fun..

When I was child.....

At my dad's 老屋 and had reunion dinner with each and everyone of the Ng's family... Nite time would be filled with activities like fire crackers and also praying... The air will have the joss sticks 'aroma'. Adult will gamble, children will gamble.. Hehehe... Luckily, my uncle will always be my sponsor... Ang pows were definitely a lot... From my grandma, grand uncle, uncles, aunties, and even my cousins grandma and relatives also... Video games (tat time no Playstation yet, and my favourite game is Mario Bros ;p) and I got to play it once a year only due to my mom's theory that video game is BAD.. And, lion dance... I luv the rhythm and also the drum's sound.. So energetic and powerful... I like to play with the lion's tail too.... Hahahaha

Mom's kampung not bad too.. I remembered every time when we go back, cousin Yuen Siang sure bring along his 'monkey' game and 'beetle car' robot for us... Taiping lake, places that we will visit for sure... Hhmmm, besides that, ahh... my grandpa old bicycle...

To conclude, it was FUN!!!

Year 2006....

Fast forward to this year, after so many years spent in KL, my parents decided to go back to their kampung to celebrate the auspicious days... We will spend our new year eve in Taiping... So, on Saturday, we started our journey back at 10am and called our grandma informing her will be there by lunch time... However.....

10am: Taman Bukit Angsana, Cheras
10++am: Entering the North South Highway
12.00pm: Getting near to the Sungai Buloh restaurant.. So, we decided to use the trunk road...
1.30pm: Still stuck in Rawang's town... Too hungry, stop at roadside to eat and most importantly toilet!!!
6++pm nearly 7: Finally!!!! We saw my grandma's hse...

Moral of the story: Never go back on the eve. If we really wan to do so, we will start at 4 in the morning....

Mostly the rest of the days were associated with food, food and more food... Astro, sleep and hot hot weather... How can it be that hot!!!! Kekeke.... I really feel blessed with the time I shared with my family members this year...

And, before I end this, my favourite advertisement for Chinese New Year (Top 3) will be:-

1. Petronas - where the old ladies discussed about their children's achievements... Never ever be like those professionals who dump their parents at the old folks home and visit them once a while... I really believe if you treat that to your parents, your children will treat u that way too. It's the cycle of life...

2. Perodua - where the children played lion dance together... Semangat muhibbah

3. 8tv - where the Inspector Lui Kei needs to search Wong Fei Hung and the Hak Mui Guai to fight the 年 monster... Dylan was funny and I like it when he said 'cha cha bo' and 'wi wang wang'

Sayonara Year 2005 II and Happy New Year 2006

Hhmm... Enough of the working part.. Let's walk down the memory lane of 2005 on the other side of M@ Vie.. This year I tried a few things new.. Although they are small matter, they added some spice to it.. Think u all may laugh at it.. Hehehe

Year 2005 when I first time to...
1. Sleep in a camp (by the seaside)
2. Sing karaoke
3. Drink beer (Uurgh.. Dun like it, bitter la)
4. Treasure hunt
5. Watch musical play

My birthday outing at The Coast, Alamanda Putrajaya. Nice place there.

My first time helped out in a Malay wedding. My mission that day was to distribute 'flower egg' to all the guests. Malay wedding is definitely different from chinese wedding and it is simpler.

This picture was taken when I went to Genting with Keef, Foong Ling and Su earlier this year. It's the view outside our room at Hotel Theme Park early morning. Those who went to trip with me knows that I have problem sleeping. Any remedy? Sorry for all the noises I make to wake u all up. Kekeke =p

Kem Pelarian at the lobby of First World Hotel, Genting. It was supposed to be a non-peak period but we end up waiting for more than 2 hours to check-in.

I never expect the trip to Cameron would be so much fun... Full with activities... If I remember correctly, we nearly stop at every place which attracted our attention... With the bargain skill tat shine thru and loads of vegetable tat packed Addy's Myvi.. Kekeke.. Thank you all for the joy and great memories.

The above summarised most of the highlights in M@ Vie for 2005. Not forgetting the Penang trip which took place a week before Christmas. The rain, the camping, the singing, the 鬼脸 or cute face, the food, my aching leg, kekeke...

Happy New Year 2006 and may everyone lead a healthy, happy, and prosperous year ahead!!!

Sayonara Year 2005 I

Wow... It's already the last day of year 2005. How is my year 2005 le? I think I had a good year, except for my grandma and aunty who 'left' us.

Continue from year 2004, I've started to lead a busy working life.. Really busy.. I hardly saw the sun. Home has become like a hotel because the only activity I do is to go back watch TV and sleep. Luckily I got a few colleagues who also accompanied me after working hours. I enjoyed the time when we blasted our speaker when all the boss were gone. Hehehe =p Hopefully in year 2006 I will get a balance lifestyle. Tat's the sad part of my working life. Long working hours with endless task.

Now, the fun part. One of the thing tat I learned is how to get free movie. Hahaha.

Year 2005 also marked my first time attending the Company's annual dinner. The theme for this year was Fright Nite. Entering the grandball room was like entering a ghost house. Too bad I didn't have a camera. The event was fun with the Idol contest where all the staff from each department came in full strength and tools to support their own Idol.

And, how can I forget my first treasure hunt. It was really fun with us driving and running around Klang Valley. From Damansara til Sri Petaling. The way they gave us the clue is really creative. I really salute to those people who came up with those question. The treasure hunt end at a lakeside restaurant at Mines. 'Shades of Pink Pink' with the melody of YMCA cross my mind rite now. Tat's my team song and we even got No. 2. Unbelievable =)

Karaoke Session

Date: 4 December 2005
Time: 1.00am

After finish the 'yam char' session at Station One, none of us wanted to go back first... So, everyone was thinking what we can do at this point of time...

"Why don't we go play pool?" asked Wai Kit.
"But not all of know how to play le..."
"Karaoke? I'll like to try it out... Never sing before..." says me.
"Okie, karaoke then... We'll go to Foong Peng's house to take the discount card first"

What is karaoke? From my research in the internet, it is actually a music entertainment system providing prerecorded accompaniment to popular songs that a performer sings live, usually by following the words on a video screen.

So, my first experience of karaoke session was at Neway, Plaza Cheras with Juliet and boyfriend, Foong Peng, Chun Keong and Wai Kit... I always wonder why people like to sing karaoke so much? When we reach there, most of the room was fully booked. We had to wait for our turn before we got our room...

Unexpectedly, Foong Peng is the one who teach us how to use the remote control... How to choose the song... How many drinks we can order... Wow!!! She is more happening than all of us... I think from now on I should call her the karaoke queen... Kekekke.... Nice voice!!!!

The experience is actually fun... It was the first time I'm holding a microphone without my hand shaking... Hahaha... And I realise I sound so out of tune when I'm singing... No wonder I always failed my oral test in my piano test... Kekekeke...

The list of songs that we sing was really long... From Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Jolin til our own Malaysian, Mr Cow (Ah Niu)... We sang our heart out til 4.30am in the morning... Unbelievable... First, I thought maybe we will be going back at 2.30, the most 3am... I think if the people didn't ask us to pay the bill, we would still singing...

The most funny songs are Juliet's boyfriend choice: Taiwanese MC, 'Bu Xue Liang' rap song and Ah Niu Mamak song... When I dunno the Chinese words, I would just silent and sing those words I know... At the end, the whole song sound so cacat... hehehe...

To conclude, I really enjoy the session... THanks guys!!!!!!

Jacky Cheung's Classic Musical Snow Wolf Lake 2005

Venue: Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil
Date: 26 November 2005 (Saturday)
Time: 8.00 pm
Seat: Block U14, Row H, Seat 4

It was a dream come true... Finally, listening to his song for more than 10 years, I got to listen to him singing live... The musical show was perfect... Fabulous, fantastic, Bravo.... The only thing that I feel sorry is the Jacky that I saw, although is the real person, he was only as big as my hand'... So, u all can imagine how far I sat....

The musical started with Jacky singing 'Bu Lao De Chuan Shuo'... He was the narrator of this tragic love story.... When his voice filled the stadium, I started to search for him... Where is he? Kekeke.... Actually, the rest of the performers were really good too... Evonne Hsu as Snow is really sweet... When Wolf felt shy as he started to like Snow, Jacky's expression was hilarious... Another actress who caught my attention is Snow's mother who loves money so much... Nadia Chan was good towards the end of the show when she sang her heart out.... It's the scene where she will wait for Wolf although she knew that Wolf only loved her sister... So touching...

The stage was impressive too.... I particularly like it when Wolf and Snow watched stars together at Wolf's house... It was beautiful... They even managed to create meteor shower too...
My favourite scene is when Wolf had to sing 'yuan lai zhi yao wei ni huo yi tian' to get back to the past to see Snow for one last time... Also, when Wolf was hugging Snow who was already dead... I really could feel the emotion that Jacky put into the song...

The show lasted for 3 hours... I think it's really worth it... What kind of show that u can see your idol act, sing, and dance live??? The show really reminds me why I love to hear Jacky's Cheung voice... After the show, a sense of happiness fill me for a few days.... Now, I can't wait for him to come back for his concert....

I'm back.....

Hhhmmm.... Realise that I didn't post anything at all since March this year.... Now is December already.... Unbelieveable... Time really flies... So fast til sometimes feel that I couldn't catch up with it... Past this few months had been really busy for me...

Finally, until the last month of 2005, I got the chance to clear my annual leave... Thus, taking this opportunity to update this blog... If you all realised, I've also changed the name to ma vie... Meaning 'My Life' in French....

Hopefully, I would update it as frequent as possible now.... Maybe I should make this one of my new year resolution..... Kekekke.... Anyway, enjoy reading!!!!

Rooster Year 2005

'Kok kok kok kok'... Happy Chinese New Year! I haven't celebrate CNY at my mother's hometown for quite some years... First day of CNY as usual, i always spent it in the car... As I grew up, CNY is not as fun as it used to be when I was a little gal... The most time spent is watching ASTRO... From morning til nite....

Before the CNY, the first 'lou sang' for the year was with my colleagues... I had fun at the Penang Village located at Sri Hartamas... Food was okay but the portion was so little that we need to order 2 servings...

Visit to the temple

Ring, ring, ring...

"Still in the bed ahh? Wake up!!! I'll give u 30 minutes... Get ready!" my alarm clock 'CHun Keong' said.

TOday is the day to pay our respect to a dear friend at Rawang temple. The temple is located quite secluded from the town of RAwang... It is a beautiful and peaceful place...

After paying our respect to him, we went up the temple to say our prayer... At that time, there is a ceremony took place.. The head of the monk lead a group of people in the hall chanting the Buddha's verses...

The purpose of the pray is actually for the victims of the tsunami waves. THe people had prepared cages of birds, bags of fishes and tortoises to set them all free...

It was quite a scene when the birds were set free... They looked so happy to finally be free... The fishes were also restless waiting to be set free...

Year 2005

31 December 2004 was a day to remember.... I was supposed to watch my first ever concert on that day... The 'Jor Lun Yau Li'.... However, =(

Well, it turned out that it wasn't a bad day either... At least, i spent my last day of 2004 not in the office... After dinner with my primary school mates, a few of us drove our way up the hill to feel the Genting's breeze... And, it was a very strong freezing breeze...

Sat at the Starbuck, we chatted our way to Year 2005... There wasn't any countdown at the Times Square of Genting as a mark of respect to the victims of the tsunami... There are some people sang songs and at one time, we thought maybe Beyond was singing... But, we r not that lucky... The journey back to KL was quite adventurous... With the thick fog around us, it's quite hard to see the road in front of us... Foong Ling had become Addy's 'ah sei' at that time wiping the window... The scene is quite hilarious cos Foong Ling's action reminded me of the Sammi Cheng's character in the movie 'gu nam gua lui'... Well, thank you all for giving me an unforgettable new year...

Hhmmm... What's my new year resolution? I want to have a stable and rewarding career... Healthy and happiness for my family and friends...

Hello 2005! Here I come!!! ^_^

Digi Imax Theatre

Date: 30 November 2004
Time: 6.30pm
Location: Level 10, Berjaya Times Square (BTS)
Movie: Polar Express

"Hi, Chai Yee... Are u doing anything tonight?"

Oh no... I have to do overtime again? I asked the assistant manager why he wanted to know....

"Well, I got 2 tickets from Berjaya Times Square people to watch the movie preview of The Polar Express in IMAX theatre. But, i don't want to go... Do u want it?"

I looked at him happily. Of course i want it...

The theatre is large, the screen is very large too.. I read in the newspaper it is third largest in the world. I chose to sit in the middle of the second highest row. I think it's B.

Before we enter the theatre, the personnel gave us a BIG 3D glass. Luckily, it's big enough. I was able to wear it together with my glasses.

When everyone was seated in the theatre, it's time to start the show. They introduce the theatre first but, i don't really listen to it...=p Can't wait to see the difference of this movie..

5,4,3,2,1 ... The numbers keep on coming in front of me... Wow, this is interesting... Everything in the movie looks like it just happen in front of me.... When the snow flakes fall, it looks like it fall on the person sitting in front of me... The journey of the train is interesting too... I felt like sitting in a roller coaster (with the motion master chair, the effect would be better)... The sound system is great too... It's clear...

Overall, i think that it's a great experience for me... But, there is some minor headache... hihihi.... If all the ghost stories can make it into 3D version, it would be scary... Imagine when u watch The RIng... u will really see the ghost coming out from the cinema and crawling towards u...

Thank u! Mr Assistant Manager for giving me the tickets... =)
