Carey Island

Carey Island is located to the south of Port Klang and north of Banting. It's a huge island separated from the Selangor Coast by Klang River. It was named after Valentine Carey, a former British civil service officer in Malaya.

The bridge that connects the mainland to the island. Many people don't really consider it as an island becos it was just separated by the small river.

What do the island offer ?

OIL PALM OIL PALM OIL PALM ... it is on both sides of the road. No matter where u turn, it is the SIME DARBY oil palm plantation only.
A very long straight road, where a FERRARI can fly as fast as it want. That's what my brother said. Hehehee ... It's like a never ending road.

A trip will not be complete without delicious food. Dad claimed that the restaurant above was already there since 30 years ago ...

FGS Dong Zhen Temple

In conjunction with Mama's Day and Wesak Day, we decided to make a short trip to this temple, which is located at Jenjarom.

Happy Wesak Day

This was my first time visiting a temple during the Wesak Day. And, I learn something interesting today. There are 4 pilgrimage sites based around the life of Gautama Buddha.

1. Lumbini - where the Buddha was born. For more details

2. Bodhgaya - where the Buddha attained enlightenment. For more details

3. Sarnath - where the Buddha conducted the first discourse. For more details

4. Kushinagar - where the Buddha died. For more details

Music Man 2009

好 HIGH arrr !!!
This time my heart beat really accelerated. Especially when there were rock or the fast tempo songs. Can feel the music thumping my heart.
Our seats were really good, right in the middle facing the stage. Thanks Keef !!! And, the crowd that we seated with really rocks. This is how we should enjoy the concert. Scream whenever u want. Wave no matter how hard u want it to be. Stand on the chair and move your body. Hehehe ... It's like a 2 hours exercise session cum karaoke session ...
The concert started with Daniel Lee, our own Malaysian Idol. I think his performance was good. Nice upbeat tempo song. Then, followed by Kay, the latest champion from the Superstar competition. The fan who seated beside me spotted Music Man behind stage and she started to scream non-stop. She really had good eye sight, I've watched a few times also couldn't spot him ... Eekekeke ... I'm really blind. A pair of spectacles also can't help me.
Suddenly, Bahamut The Guitar appeared and not long after that Music Man was up there. The concert began!!!
Some of the scenes that I really love was of course when he played the piano. So charming and he really enjoyed playing it. Make me want to play the piano again. Give me a piano now !!! Hehehe ... Also, when he played the violin, the song 落叶归根 really 好有 feel, with photos from the movie Lust and Cautions in the background.
The dance session when they introduced all the superheroes were really entertaining too !!! He looked really cute when he moved like a penguin in the song 改变自己 ... He did some BEATBOX too. The crowd went crazy when he suddenly appeared in the middle of the stadium. Everyone was on the chair cheering.
Encore session was really high. Cheering, waving, grooving But, I felt the encore was a bit short cos too used to Jacky Cheung's encore session. Hahaha. I want more !!! Encore Encore Encore !!!
The after effect of the concert is now I got no voice dy. I'm hungry and I supposed to get my sleep instead of typing this away. I really love to watch live performance !!! Music Man, Well DOne !!!
p/s: On our way home, we saw something that we shouldn't see. Guys, find a darker place to pay your water bill please :(

Gems of Life

This is a very long drama. 82 freaking long episodes. Honestly, it didn't really attract me. I took a few months to complete it. There are a few times I would just like to give up and stop watching it. But, there is always this feeling, i already started it, why not watch til the end? Since this drama is not so good, what is there for me to write about ?

It's the last few episodes that make me think, if I'm the parents of the 3 daughters, I will be very sad. Why my 3 daughters become like that? How realistic is the world when family members also will betray each other ... Although it's only drama, I know this kind of things happen around us ... At the end of the day, we can only trust ourselves the most.

One thing i always believe, there is always cause and effect. 因 and 果 ...

Battle of Cutie Compact

Dad had been telling me to standby for days. By 9 ++ am, together with dad and bro, we went to attack CS Supermarket. At RM6.99, Cutie Compact was a popular target. I thought there should be enough for everyone since the day was still early. I was wrong !!! By the time we reach the supermarket, everyone had at least two pax of it.
Well, that's the highlight of today ... hahaha ...

Heartbeat accelerated ???

Seems like i'm doing things that I supposed to be doing a few years ago, when i was younger ... Hehe ...
07 Apr 2009, I went to Mont Kiara Solaris to see one person. I've been listening to him ages ago ...

Thought that I would be ecstatic but hmmm, i'm happy for a while ... Happy to see the real person, happy to shake hand with him, happy to see him smile at me, happy to be able to listen him sing live ... Honestly, if you ask me, whether i would go to this kind of activity again, i will think twice ... Maybe to see one more person and i would be satisfied ...

A discussion came up on that day, among keef and pw. The question is what would you say to a superstar/your idol if he/she is in front of you. I remembered that I told this local singer to ganbateh, cos i think he deserved better opportunities. Did i say anything to him that day? I just uttered the word 'Thank You' and smile :)

After 5 years

5 years ago, he went in there wondering whether that was the correct path to take ...
5 years later, i guess there are no turning back now ...
congratulations to my bro and his gf. they have worked hard for it ...

Mini convocation i would say. They even had a temporary certificate to say they have passed the exams.

Future doctors taking their oath. They promised to serve the people well.

Well, i'm really glad that they finally passed. I would say it's only the beginning. I think mom and dad don't have to be worried anymore. Maybe it's time for me to start studying again ... Hmmm ... Let me think think ...

Sweet dream

I had the most enjoyable flight to Siam Reap yesterday, together with him ...

It's too good to be true. Well, in fact, it was a dream. A dream that make me wake up smiling this morning. Maybe I look forward to this coming May that I dreamed of it already ...
Somehow, my brain blend the two events together. It's so perfect ... Hahaha ...

Hope the dream will continue tonight. :P

A friend who sat beside me ,,,

We used to sit together in the class for a year but we lost contact when this friend moved to another place and changed school. Recently, we chatted for a while because he was attracted to my MSN message, which says "Big Boss said my desk was too clean" Hahaha ...

If 2 old friend start talking, the history of our school life can't escape the topic. Manage to find out who and who is married, who and who has kids, even manage to listen to gossips that happen last time in school. It's really a walk down to memory lane :)

Sometimes it only takes a simple word as 'hello' to find back your long lost friend.

Treasure Hunt

Woke up on an early Sunday morning again, when most of the people still deep in their sleep. This time, i joined the treasure hunt. My last hunt was a few years back, walking around the Golden Triangle of KL.

We are Team No. 22, the Huntmaniacs. The more experience one is Wai Ling and Kellyn. I think my job is to google for clue, call for S.O.S, and to take photo. When it comes to language and general knowledge, Carina would step in.

There were about 140++ cars and we were all flagged off at 7.45am. We went around Shah Alam, Klang, Subang and PJ to search for our clue and treasures. Questions like "Who is the magician with capital" (not the exact question) really make us think. We even had to recognise Bollywood Stars to decipher the answer. I ended in an Indian selling DVD shop to ask whether the boss recognise those faces. Hahaha :P
Anyway, we didn't win. But, I had fun. I want to be a navigator next time arr .... Tee hee hee ...

Hunt organised by the Selangor Government, in conjuction with their 1st year anniversary

All sorts of cars but I think, those SLK and mini is the best choice for this kind of hunt.

We manage to take a break during the hunt. Nice phone booth but the phone does not work =.='''

Dinner

We all have not seen each other for quite some time, since CNY til now ... Well, maybe not everyone, but in group, i think yes lorr...

Some may think that's not too long ago, but compared to last time, when we would have our yumcha session every friday nite, it's considered long dy ...

However, the topic of our discussion was quite different. As Cam put it, why are we talking something so personal this time ? Usually we would just joke around ...

Hhmmm, usually we would talk among ourselves. Maybe this time there are not such many people. Maybe the environment is good. Maybe everyone feels stress with the current situation now. Or, maybe we grow up already .... Hahahaha ...

Anyway, thanks guys for accompanied me til 10.30++

Do you like your job ???

"Boss, I want 1 Breakfast Set A, Sandwiches Set B, etc"
"Ok. But, you have to wait for a while because I don't have people to help me today. My maid went back to Indon dy."
"Alright, no prob"

Although he was busy, the Boss looked happy while doing his business. He had the smile on his face while frying the hotdogs, eggs, bacons, etc. When there were kids coming to his stall to order the food, he would listen patiently to them. And, because of this, I enjoyed looking at him doing his business.

Also, it makes me wonder. What do I look like when I am busy with my job? When there is a pile of documents to be prepared and reviewed, how do I handle it? Is it with a smile? I doubt so. If i like what i am doing now, will the attitude change? Will i face it with a very positive attitude? Hhmmm, the least i can do now is to add some joy and entertainment to my daily job. I hope someday I can be like the Boss, to have the smile on my face when i go to work ....

8 Mar 2009 : Short trip to Melaka

The idea came when NDC seriously needed a short break from his everyday life. I was happy to join because to wait for the upcoming trip in May seems to be too long. However, when I knew that I would be the 'light bulb' in the trip for 2 couples, it made me think twice, whether I should proceed with it.

Well, the 'want to go holiday' part of me were stronger that day. I decided to just go ahead. And, I'm glad.

"Want to have a drink ?"

Wanted : 2 adults 'vandalising' the property of the zoo.

Earth Hour 2009

Source : http://www.earthhour.org/

What began as a campaign to get Sydneysiders to turn their lights off, has grown to become one of the world’s biggest climate change initiatives. In 2009, at 8.30pm on March 28, people around the world will turn their lights off for one hour – Earth Hour.

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia with 2.2 million homes and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. Only a year later and this event had become a global sustainability movement with up to 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.

Earth Hour 2009 is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to take responsibility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to The Americas will stand in darkness. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.

It's as simple as a flick of the switch. Just turn off your lights from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm on Saturday, 28 March 2009.

Sunday Morning

5.15 a.m ... 起床啦 !!!

Instead of dating Zhao Kong's grandson longer, I decided to wake up to join MSSMKL-POAWKL 2009 : Merentas Desa Milo Power. My first and last run for year 2009 :P

Early morning at the Lake Garden, my stomach started to give me some problem. This is not a good sign at all. And, the queue to the toilet was damn long ....

In this race, I jog, I run, I walk, I slide, etc. So many actions in one race, pao ka liao. I didn't expect to have jungle trekking event at all. Well, there are some interesting things happened to me during the race :

1. There is one Istana Selangor at Lake Garden.
2. There are so many taman, for e.g. Taman Rusa, Taman Herba, Taman Rama-Rama. I felt like jumping up the tourist bus to tour around the garden.
3. An uncle was talking to me while walking up the hill. He said this hill really kns!!! So, I said, it's alright, walk slowly. After a while, the uncle suddenly sped up and since then, I can't even see his shadow at all ...
4. I usually need people's help in jungle trekking. But, today I helped people instead ... This is really an irony ... hahaha ...
5. Lastly, I told some kids I am nearly 30-year-old ... Learn to age gracefully :) In return, they said I looked like 21. Muahahaha ....

P/S: Now I need to wash my mom's shoe. And, anticipating muscle pain on my leggie and hand tomorrow. So, if you see me walk like an old lady, don't be surprise !!!!

In reality, I have a group too ... :)

Adults and video games

There is always a child deep down in there ... What will happen when all the children jumps out from the shell ? Detailed reports here ...

I really enjoyed that nite. The never ending WWE game... 123, hong luk tang ( kekeke, sorry that i cheated here :P) ...

年初二的夜晚 ...

Balik kampung has always been a tradition in my family during CNY and also Ching Ming. Usually, it would be the only time that we go back to my parent's hometown at Bkt Mertajam and Taiping. First 3 days usually spent at Dad's hometown, where I would meet most of the relatives, from granduncle to my little nephews. Games like mahjong, rummy, poker, etc. will be going on while others would chit chat here and there. The houses will be noisy, meriah ... The Ng's members, especially the older generation really have a BIG voice ... I think people who live 2 house away may hear our voices ...

This year was a bit different. We decided to go back to Mom's hometown on the 2nd day when granduncle decided to spend his CNY with his son at Kedah. And, Mom's house usually is a peaceful and quiet place. The name Taiping 太平 explains it all ...

I was getting ready to have a relax nite, with loads of ASTRO cny programme on that nite. As usual, being the last to bath, I'm on my way to the washroom. Suddenly, the lights flickered. After a few minutes, the whole house becomes dark. First thing on my mind was. "Oh no! Don't tell me no electricity tonite !!! The nite is still young ! I don't want to waste my precious nite doing nothing !!!"

After some inspections, we found that the wire, that is connected to the lamp post outside, was broken. We called the TNB and they promised to come to fix the problem tonite. Actually, I was sceptical that they are going to come. It's a public holiday nite. Are they really going to come?

Surprisingly, they did. Although they were late, I am thankful. They managed to fix it in half an hour. People were watching the guys, as though they were the circus :P (I maybe the worst of all, taking pictures. I think the neighbours expression would be like this =.=''' )

saviour of the nite (^_^)

By the time the problem was fix, it's already past midnight. Time to sleep. But, luckily I don't feel that it was wasted. At least, I got to see the stars on the sky. So beautiful. It has been a long time since few years ago at Penang beach ... Of course some funny memories started to come back to my mind (e.g the tissue papers incident, and also how we peeked at the neighbours fight from the windows ... ) Also, we actually chatted all nite while waiting for TNB guys ... Don't think we would do that if the TV was on all the time ... So, can I say it's a blessing in disguise ???

Things happen and there are always two sides of it ... So, it depends on how you want to see it. Which sides you want to see ... Indeed a special way to spend my 2nd nite of cny ...

Sink Vs Dustbin

Anyone can differentiate this easily. One is to throw your rubbish and another one is to do your washing ... However, during a peaceful afternoon, the BLUR one poured water into the bin. The colleague looked at her and asked, "u purposely do this?"

And, the BLUR one just realised what she has done .... ekekeke ....

方大同 Singalong song

Pre-CNY

This year CNY is early, too early ... Artists and radio stations started to promote their 'dong dong chiang' songs since December ... Last year Christmas had a bit of the CNY atmosphere, especially if you listen to the radio stations like MY FM or 98.8 ...
Weeks before CNY, most of the pasar malam is full of people ... My dad was trapped in the traffic jam for an hour at Segar when he went to fetch my mom at Leisure Mall ... @@ ... An hour !!! And, today .... the shopping malls are packed with people ... Last minute shopping i guess ... The teller machine is cashing in money all the time ... ka ching ka ching ....
So, have you all prepared for this auspicious day ??? New clothes ? Spring cleaning ? Ang Pow money ???
Hhmm ... Talking about it, I still haven't clean my room and workstation yet ... ANyone want to help me pls ??? ekeke...

Interesting Phrase

不是牺牲,不是占有, 而是成全
拥有爱情时,要让对方自由
失去爱情时, 更要让爱自由
Translation:
Love
Is not about sacrifice, is not about holding to it, but letting go
When love is around, should let our loved one has the freedom
When love is lost, should let love has the freedom
P/S: Ekeke ... Something is wrong with the translation, it doesn't sound right when it is in English lerr ... Found this when I was watching JC's concert earlier last year ...

O Positive

A friend's nephew has leukemia and will always need blood tranfusion. Please let me know if there are people who are willing to donate blood (type: O positive, preferably non-smoker and drunkard).

Thanks in advance :)
