Tagged...

Initially, i planned to just ignored it... But, my beloved friends keep on tagging me... Three people tagged me dy!!!! Ok lar... 'Give face' to u all... Kekeke...

The peraturan-peraturan are:

  • each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post of their own 6 idiosyncrasies (abnormal behaviour, habits etc.) as well as clearly stating this rule.
  • after stating your 6 weirdness you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their multiply id at the bottom of your blog.
  • lastly, don't forget to leave a comment that says "you're tagged" in their comments and tell them to read your blog for information as to what it means".

Am I weird?

1. To start off, i would just let the weirdnesses generator helped me out... Here is the outcome... Ekekeke... Like wewewawa, not to said that i am rely rely that weird lerrr

You Are 50% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!

2. I cannot sleep at nite when i go holidays with friends.... I guess this is all known to you all rite? No matter how tired i am, i can't sleep... Haih... Why arr? I also feel strange.... But, this weirdness let me have the chance to hear my friend who talk in the sleep (blink blink) :P you know who u are... let me have the chance to sit at the seaside by myself listening to the wave, bathe with moonlight... see twinkle twinkle little star... compare whose snore is louder.... hahaha... But, it would be a priviledge to me if i can sleep...

3. This, i told some of you.... First time in my life, at the age of 25, i only feel that maybe it's time for me to start thinking about love... About boy's and girl's relationship... My friends said i'm super slow... hehe... The thought rely scared me at first... Wondering why would i suddenly think about this....

4. Most of the girls would love to eat those asam boi or sour sweets ... But, i don't like it... I still remember when the first time i ate 'Mo Fa Kor'... Camilla made me eat it....

5. I am a super lazy person when it comes to housework... I mean rely rely super duper lazy... For example: I don't like to make my bed cos i think i will be messing it again at nite when i wan to sleep... Why do I need to take the trouble to clean it... Kekeke.... :P

6. I still talk to my toys... My Cute Cute, my Pooh bear... my Patrick.... with those squeaky voice... Hahaha.... Since ages ago...

Think i want to break the rule lerr... Decided not to follow Rule #2 and #3....

Note: Sweating... This is rely hard.... Challenging... But, no matter how weird i am, hope u all will accept the way I am lorr... kekeke...

Picnic of the Year

It's a bit late to blog about this... But, better late than never laa... Ching Ming Festival to me is the day when we all go to the tomb to pay our respects to my 'ah kong' and 'ah poh'... Have some food and chit chat... A family picnic day!

So, i've decided to do some research, and this is what I found on wikipedia:

The Qingming Festival, or Ching Ming Festival as called in Hong Kong, Clear and Bright Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival on the 104th day after the winter solstice (or the 15th day from the Spring Equinox), usually occurring around April 5 of the Gregorian calendar. Every leap year, Qing Ming is on April 4. Astronomically, it is also a solar term. In solar terms, the Qingming festival is on the 1st day of the 5th solar term, which is also named Qingming. Its name denotes a time for people to go outside and enjoy the greenery of springtime, and also to tend to the graves of departed ones.

For the Chinese, it is a day to remember and honour one's ancestors. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, (joss) paper acessories, and/or libation to the ancestors. The rites are very important to most Chinese and especially farmers. Some people carry willow branches with them on Qingming, or put willow branches on their gates and/or front doors. They think that willow branches help ward off the evil ghosts that wander on Qingming. Also on Qingming, people go on family outings, start the spring plowing, sing, dance, and Qingming is a time where young couples start courting. Another popular thing to do is fly kites (in shapes of animals, or characters from Chinese opera).

The April Fifth Movement and the Tiananmen Incident were major events on Qingming that took place in the history of the People's Republic of China. When Premier Zhou Enlai died in 1976, thousands visited him during the festival to pay respect. In the Republic of China, April 4th coincides with the passing of Chiang Kai-shek and the date is designated as a national holiday.

Hanshi, the day before Qingming, was created by Chong'er, the Duke Wen of the state of Jin during the Spring and Autumn Period when he accidentally killed his personal friend and servant Jie Zhitui (介之推) (or Jie Zitui) and his mother in a fireblaze in the hope of making him return to him (Chong'er). On Hanshi, people were not allowed to use fires to heat up food, thus nicknaming it the Cold Food Festival. Eventually, 300 years ago, the Hanshi "celebration" was combined with the Qingming festival, but later abandoned by most people.

Qingming itself was created by the Tang Emperor Xuanzong in 732. It is said that because the wealthy held too many expensive, elaborate ancestor-worshipping ceremonies, in a needed effort to lower this expense, Emperor Xuanzong declared that respects could be formally paid at ancestor's graves only on Qingming.

Well, i do not realise that Ching Ming is such an important day. I always wonder why my dad would insist that the day is more important than the Chinese New Year.

Mr Sunshine appeared from the cloud, breaking the morning mist.

This year the interior designer himself decided to go down the field and perform his art. Should do that every year, ah kor...

Young and old, preparing for the prayers...

Chicken, duck, pork, fruits, kuih, kopi-o, Guinness Stout, vegetarian food, etc... I remembered we used to have ice cream also when my granduncle from Kepala Batas joined us...

After presenting the food to my 'ah kong' and 'ah poh', we started to feel hungry too... Drooling... Tossing coins is the way to ask whether we can also start eating...

'Chin Tui' - some kuih make from glutinous rice powder... That's what my dad told me... Ng's family favourite... Only my 阿姆 know how to make it...

"Let me teach you how to 'kopek' the sugar cane with your teeth"

After a sumptuos meal, time to burn the offerings to my 'ah kong' and 'ah poh'... Maybe I would buy a car and a driver for them next year... Hmmm...

Burn to ashes. Hopefully, the postal delivery system is good enough, making sure that my 'ah kong' and 'ah poh' will receive our offerings

From no sunlight to too much sunlight, people start to put on huge pasar malam umbrella. It's a busy busy day with a lot of peaple this year...

A Day Ride With Valentino Pooh

He is the driver-in-charge that day. Captain of the day!!!

He was giving the details of the trip to the passengers.

Having some time off from the tiring journey.

Which shoes you are comfortable with?

Which type of shoe / slipper u like to wear? Hehehe.... I'm not talking about the real shoes lerr... Shoes in this case = Character....
At this point of my life, I am wearing 3 main type of shoes... It would be as follows:
1. A brand called 'daughter'
2. A brand called 'staff'
3. A brand called 'sister'
Which brand i preferred most? Of course the 'daughter' brand is good. It is comfortable, cosy and well protected....

你的名字, 我的姓氏

March 24, 2007
The auspicious day was the day when my good friend got married. This entry is kind of late... But then, would like to dedicate this song to them.... Congratulations!!!!

I want to go for holidays... I want to be on holiday forever, for the rest of my life... I miss the beaches, I want to look at the stars... I want to listen to the wave... I miss the morning when I could just sit at the beach doing nothing for hours... So relaxing... So free...

Idea is coming now... I know the solution dy... Til now... Bye... :P

天使 Angel

Lately, I've been listening to Five Month Day .... Kekeke... And, there is this song that really captures my attention....

So, who is your angel? In the fairy tales, there will be a fairy god mother.... I do think I got too... They are my parents... I'm still very much depend on them... Kekeke...

Have you ever stop and look around you?

Standing alone at the Komuter station while waiting for the train...

A young child who sat between her mom and dad... After she finished drinking her water, she didn't forget to offer it to her mom and dad...

Two older couple who sit side by side at the chair... I believe they just came back from trips... The husband was teaching the wife to use the digital camera...

A lady who dressed professionally but look panic and kept on looking at her watch.... I guess she was late for an appoinment...

A couple who listen to some songs on the boyfriends handphone....

A dedicated worker who was keeping the station clean by picking up the rubbish on the floor...

Different people with different attitude but with the same objective at that time, to board the train to reach their destination....

Langkawi + Penang Trip December 2006: The last trip of Year 2006

Destination: Langkawi and Penang
Date: 27 December 2006 to 31 December 2006

For me, the trip started with a message '2 am limteh at dhurbar. ok ar?'
So, there we were at Dhurbar. The people that I spent days and nights, for the last 5 days of my year 2006. The longest trip that I had with friends. Main character of the story: Addy, George, Joseph, Nick, Foong Ling, Kee Fong and Su Ching.

2 cars 8 people, we started off the journey around 3 in the morning, going through the North highway... So many years going up the same highway, it really looked different at 3 am... Darker and no sunlight yet... :P I had tried to sleep on the journey... however, each time when i wanted to doze off... the walkie will... haih... Attempt to sleep on the first nite (27 Dec) failed... Kekeke...

Different from the previous trip with my colleagues, this time we used the land and sea to reach Langkawi. Personally, I actually prefer to use the ferry to reach the destination where I got the chance to feel the wind and also the sea water splashed onto my face :P Kuala Kedah is the place where we board the ferry. The parking attendants there were quite scary when they would just use their motorcycles to follow our cars. Competition is really fierce there. At Kuala Kedah also, I spotted a place opposite the port where there is a fort there... The place looked beautiful... I wonder what is that place call?

Awana Porto Malai, Langkawi

Finally, we reached our first destination. Pulau Langkawi. Keef had actually narrated most of the highlights so I just wanted to capture down the moments which I find amusing and hard to forget:

  • How we parked our 'P' license van among the luxury cars at 4 Season hotel. And, we only found out later that there is actually a visitor parking area further down across the road. Hehehe...
  • The penguins of Underwater World. Looking at the way they behave, the way they walk and also the way they tap their feet, makes me think back the movie 'Happy Feet'... And, I even see Ramon there... Hahaha... The eye lashes look fake though... Also, the plush toys, I was so tempted to buy the Happy Feet character...
  • Sitting and lying at the deck of Awana with some music at the background... Such a nice environment...
  • Eating burger with belgian chocolate drink at the beach... Under the stars and plankton that glow in the dark... The atmosphere that time was excellent... I was taught to look at the stars: 3 stars in one straight rows and the brightest star would be the north star... But, I forgot what it's called dy... Pai seh...
  • To be surrounded with loads of loads of chocolates... Heaven arr... The bad side of it is I was too tempted to buy each and everyone of it... Especially those dark chocolates... Yummy...

Afternoon, 29 December 2006... Langkawi trip came to the end... Sun burn, chocolates, liquors... Now, it's time to start our second destination, the pearl island... Again, we used the ferry and this time, I sat outside the ferry the whole journey back while my bags and chocolates were sitting comfortably at my place... Hmmm... maybe I shouldn't pay that much for the ticket also... Kekeke... Luckily I enjoyed it...

Pantai Kerachut, Pulau Pinang

Here we were again in Penang... We nearly visited this place every year... Time of the year when we bothered Cheese again... The moment in Penang would be...

  • Initially, we planned to start the trek earlier so that we would not walk in the dark... But, we started off even later than last year... 7++ at nite jungle trekking and reach Pantai Kerachut 9++... Even the keeper / guard also surprise we did that... Luckily, we didn't rush on our walk this time... Don't have leg pain... Unbelievable... Along the journey, we were not suppose to call each other name... So, I called myself sap ha sap ha... :P 'Are we there yet' was the phrase that keep on popping up in the jungle... I begin to think that maybe the Donkey in Shrek had followed us... Kekeke...
  • Picnic at the beach... Sandy beaches... Bright moonlight... Starry nite... Lovely wave sound... I was quiet back then rite... Hahaha... Enjoying the moment...
  • 3 in the morning... Someone psst pssting at me looking for toilet paper... So funny...
  • Because of someone's toilet incident, I got the chance to look at the stars 3 in the morning... This time the stars were brighter... And, there are so many of it... I rely never seen before...
  • Laze around the beach in the morning, accompanied with wave and cooling wind... What a great way to enjoy a lovely morning... I thinked I sat there more than an hour just looking at the sea without doing anything... Then, with the songs on my phone... Wah... Really relaxing... 好爽啊!!!!
  • I lost my slipper to the sea... And, we performed a farewell ceremony to my beloved slipper... You have served me well... Thank you...
  • A detour to Park Royal for business purposes... Thanks to someone, I got to see around the beautiful hotel and wow... how they decorated the event of the Casino Royale for New Year Eve... Really beautiful and classy...
  • Eating marathon, especially when we came out from the jungle...
  • Not forgetting Su's nyet nyet nyet smiley toy.... So entertaining...

So, here we were coming to the end of the trip... With cars full with chocolates, liquor, ciggies, heong piah, nutmegs, jambu, jeruk, etc... Did I miss anything? We were on our way back to KL, back to our usual life...

I really enjoyed the trip very much... I got to do the things that I had always wanted to do but never got the chance of it... Sitting on the beach for a very long time and looking at the stars... Thank you... It will be a sweet memory for me... Such a satisfying and happy way to end the year 2006...

TELAGA TUJUH

Too bad we all didn't get to go up the cable car at Langkawi. So, I've decided to put up some pictures from my last trip for you all. Hopefully, we got the chance next time....
